Fully wireless installationThe Sunseeker X7 Gen 2 sets lawn boundaries digitally, so there is no need to lay a perimeter wire around the property. The lawn map, mowing zones, passageways, and no-go zones are created using the "Sunseeker Smart" mobile app.
If the layout of the property changes, virtual boundaries can be adjusted in the app. There is no need to dig up and move buried wires, making it easy to change the location of flower beds, a trampoline, outdoor furniture, a terrace, or other objects.
The nRTK model version uses a networked RTK signal, so it works without a local RTK reference station installed on your property. The manufacturer specifies centimeter-level positioning accuracy without a traditional RTK base antenna.
AONavi™ 2.0 navigation systemAONavi™ 2.0 combines two complementary navigation technologies:
Network RTK ensures precise satellite positioning of the robot in open areas of the lawn.
VSLAM 2.0 uses camera footage, the robot's movement, and environmental objects to maintain stable navigation where the satellite signal may be blocked by trees, tall buildings, or other obstacles.
The redesigned binocular camera and iToF sensor system allow the robot to better understand environmental depth, distances, and terrain features. As a result, the robot can continue working even in more densely planted areas or parts of the property that partially block the satellite signal.
Vision AI 2.0 obstacle recognitionThe updated Vision AI 2.0 system helps the robot detect and safely navigate around obstacles in the lawn.
During the day, the environment is monitored by binocular cameras, which allow for the determination of object shape, size, and distance. In the dark and in low-light conditions, the iToF sensor is used, allowing the robot to accurately perceive its surroundings in the evening or at night.
The system is designed to detect not only items on the ground but also partially suspended obstacles, such as trampoline structures or swing parts. The robot also features drop protection and a physical bumper for additional safety.
Three-wheel AWD systemThe Sunseeker X7 Gen 2 features an advanced three-wheel all-wheel-drive system. Each wheel is driven and controlled independently, giving the robot better surface grip and more stable movement in challenging conditions.
The AWD system provides better traversability:
on steep slopes;
on damp grass;
on uneven terrain;
in depressions and on hills;
in areas with poorer wheel traction;
when transitioning between different lawn surfaces.
The actively steered rear wheel allows the robot to make smoother turns, spin less in place, and reduce the risk of damaging the lawn surface.
Independent suspensionThe robot's front wheels have an independent suspension system. It allows each wheel to better adapt to different surface heights and helps maintain a more stable robot position when driving over bumps.
The suspension absorbs some of the impact and improves the robot's ability to traverse:
lawn depressions;
small mounds;
unevenness formed by tree roots;
transitions between different surfaces;
small height differences at lawn edges.
Large, approximately 22 cm diameter off-road type front wheels provide additional grip and traversability.
35 cm dual-disc cutting systemThe Sunseeker X7 Gen 2 is equipped with a wide 35 cm dual cutting disc system. A larger cutting width allows for faster processing of large lawns and reduces the robot's overall working time.
The manufacturer indicates that the cutting blades located on both discs allow for even and fine grass cutting. With regular mowing, the cut grass particles remain on the lawn, decompose quickly, and can act as a natural fertilizer.
Two discs help to:
mow large areas faster;
reduce the number of passes required;
maintain a more even cutting result;
maintain denser lawns more effectively;
form wider and more uniform mowing strips.
Electric cutting height adjustmentThe cutting height is adjusted electrically in the mobile app. The available height range is from 20 to 100 mm.
The wide adjustment range allows the robot to be adapted to different lawn types and seasonal conditions:
lower cutting for decorative lawns;
medium height for everyday home lawns;
higher height during hot and dry periods;
higher initial setting for overgrown lawns;
gradual height reduction over several mowing cycles.
Using the target height function, overgrown or dense lawns can be mowed in several stages. The robot gradually reduces the cutting height until the value set in the app is reached.
Mowing at different anglesIn the app, you can choose the desired mowing direction or use several different directions.
By periodically changing the mowing angle, the robot does not constantly travel along the same lines. This helps reduce the formation of wheel tracks, improve the appearance of the lawn, and ensure that the grass is reached from different sides.
The user can create neat parallel strips or choose a few angles for different mowing cycles.
Multiple lawn zone managementThe app allows you to create several separate mowing zones and connect them with virtual passageways.
Individual settings can be selected for each zone:
mowing schedule;
cutting height;
mowing direction;
mowing angle;
work priority;
mowing frequency;
edge mowing mode.
This is convenient for properties where the front, back, and side lawns have different maintenance needs.
Virtual no-go zonesIn the app, you can mark areas that the robot should not enter.
Since the zones are virtual, they can be quickly moved, changed, or deleted without performing any physical work.
Multiple mowing modesThe Sunseeker X7 Gen 2 offers several working modes designed for different situations.
Standard systematic mowing is used to maintain the entire planned lawn area.
Edge mowing allows the robot to follow the set virtual lawn boundary and mow the edge strip.
Mowing onto the edge can be used where the lawn and adjacent hard surface are at the same level.
Targeted mowing allows you to select a specific spot in the app that remained unmowed due to a previously present obstacle. The robot does not need to mow the entire lawn again.
GPS tracking and theft protectionThe integrated 4G and GPS module provides additional protection for the robot.
Security features include:
real-time tracking of the robot's location;
adjustable geo-fencing;
alerts when the robot leaves the defined territory;
notifications in the mobile app;
location tracking after the robot's main power is switched off.
The manufacturer's website indicates that a 24 or 60-month NetRTK and 4G service subscription may be provided with the robot, depending on the specific market and offer. Once the included period ends, a reference extension price of 49 EUR per year is currently indicated. Before publishing in the store, it is recommended to enter the period applicable to the specific kit you are selling.
Automatic rain detectionThe integrated rain sensor allows the robot to detect when rain has started.
Depending on the settings chosen in the app, the robot can:
stop mowing;
return to the charging station;
wait for a set time;
automatically resume work when weather conditions improve.
This helps reduce the risk of wheel slippage and lawn damage when the soil is very wet.
IPX5 water resistanceThe Sunseeker X7 Gen 2 has an IPX5 water resistance rating. The robot is adapted for outdoor work and can be cleaned with water, following the maintenance instructions provided by the manufacturer.
For regular robot maintenance, it is recommended to:
remove grass accumulated under the cutting discs;
check the condition of the blades;
remove grass accumulated around the wheels;
clean the cameras and sensors;
periodically replace worn blades.
Quiet operationThe noise generated by the robot is approximately 60 dB, so it can maintain the lawn without disturbing the normal home environment.
Quiet electric operation allows for more flexible scheduling of mowing times in the morning, during the day, or in the evening, though it is always recommended to follow local noise regulations.
Smart home integrationThe Sunseeker X7 Gen 2 supports integration with:
Amazon Alexa;
Google Assistant.
In a compatible smart home system, some basic robot functions can be controlled by voice commands. The list of available commands may depend on the region, app version, and the selected voice assistant system.
OTA software updatesThe robot's software can be updated remotely.
OTA updates can provide:
navigation improvements;
changes to obstacle recognition;
additions to app features;
system stability fixes;
new operating modes;
security updates.
The robot does not need to go to a service center if the update can be installed via the app and an internet connection.
